👋 Hi, I’m Gia
Between culture and code, I trace stories that deserve to be felt.

I’m a designer who starts with concepts that matter—often born from overlooked cultures, quiet rituals, or “strange” perspectives others might miss. I believe good design doesn’t just solve problems—it warms, connects, and respects the people it touches.

I specialize in XR, UX/UI, and interaction design, using tools like Unity, AI, and Adobe Suite to build experiences that blend technology with empathy. My work often explores how digital space can carry human temperature, especially in cultural storytelling and participatory experiences.

Exploring Emotional Value through Gifting and Interaction

Introduction

Ten days before graduation, I wanted to capture the warmth and connection between people through a project. Inspired by the American culture of sharing homemade snacks among neighbors, I compared the increasingly alienated neighborhood relationships in my hometown and wanted to use the act of "baking butter rice cakes" to reawaken the ritual sense of sharing and connection.

Project triple output

2. Webpage interactive experience

An interactive webpage displays the meaning of gifts, baking GIFs, and emotional feedback modules.
Through the lens of this interactive webpage, the person who is given a gift responds positively to the lens, and the dessert picture displayed on the webpage will bake and expand as the user gives a thumbs up. At the same time, yellow dots will appear on the interface to celebrate this positive emotional feedback.

3. Physical Gifts

Some of butter rice cakes baked by yourself as a "memorial to the touch". The oil stains, fingerprints and packaging traces left are all evidence of emotional communication.
